Calendar

Block time in your calendar

Mark recurring days when you are unavailable without changing your colleagues' calendars.

What it does

A time block closes availability in one professional's calendar. Those slots no longer appear as available for that person, in the dashboard or online booking. It does not change your colleagues' calendars.

Use it for a regular day without patients, a recurring half-day off, or shifts that alternate every other week.

Step by step

  1. Open Calendar.
  2. Select New appointment, then open the Block time tab.
  3. Under Scope, choose Professional and select your name (or the person whose calendar you are changing).
  4. Select All day, or set a time range if you only need to block part of the day.
  5. Under Repeat, choose Every week (or Every 2 weeks for alternating shifts).
  6. Select the days of the week you are unavailable.
  7. Under Ends, choose Never to keep the series going, or set an end date.
  8. Select Create series.

If appointments are already booked

Wavaily warns you before creating the series if any date overlaps an existing appointment. No appointments are cancelled automatically: block only the free dates or force the block and manage those appointments yourself.

Tips

  • This location or Entire clinic closes availability for more people. Choose one only when that is what you intend.
  • For a one-off day, leave Repeat set to Does not repeat.
  • If a setting looks different, open a ticket in Support and attach a screenshot.
